Teams won't play the day before or the day after nationally televised games on Christmas, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, or any of the 15 games that will be broadcast on ABC on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. This is being done in an effort to ensure that the best players are available for the most important contests.

It is also important to note that the day before the general election, on November 7, all of the teams will compete in order to encourage people to vote, but on election day, November 8, there will be no games played. So no excuses, NBA fans! Go vote basket random.
